چکیده مقدمه: استفاده از اسبابهای درون زهدانی از روشهای موثر برای جلوگیری از بارداری است که به اشکال مختلف در دسترس می‌باشد و یکی از عوارض شایع آنها خروج خودبخودی یا عمدی IUDsاست. هدف: تعیین فراوانی نسبی عوامل ذکر شده برای خارج کردن IUDهای جایگذاری شده در مراجعان به مرکز تخصصی –تحقیقاتی تنظیم خانواده می‌باشد. مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه پرونده ی بهداشتی تمامی 367 زنی که به دلایل مختلف برای خارج کردن اسبابهای درون زهدانی جایگذاری شده به مرکز بهداشت رشت طی سالهای 1376تا 1380 مراجعه کرده‌اند در یک مطالعه ی گذشته نگر بررسی و مشخصات دموگرافیک زنان و فراوانی نسبی علل ذکر شده برای خارج کردن آن اسبابها تعیین شد. نتایج: در مجموع 2/51 درصد از مراجعان به دو دلیل میل به باردار شدن مجدد و خونریزی یا کمخونی برای این عمل مراجعه کرده اند.کمترین دلیل اظهار شده نیز پرولاپس با 54/0 درصد و وازکتومی همسر با 81/0 درصد بوده است . نتیجه گیری: جایگذاری اسبابهای درون زهدانی برای زنانی انجام شود که تمایل قطعی به باردار نشدن داشته باشند و تکنسین‌های مجری جایگذاری آموزش کافی داشته باشند.تا از خروج زودهنگام اسبابها جلوگیری شود.
